Presentation Booklet for Highway 19 interchange mailed to Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure waiting reply.

February 2012
Minister of Transportation responds to Presentation Booklet and sets in Motion a meeting.
CMRA sets up an account for bottles at the Qualicum Recycle depot
Halloween event post summary published.
Final grant application for Meadowood Community Park submitted by RDN
Invitation to Posac (Parks and Open spaces advisory committee meeting extended to CMRA Members)

March 2012
RDN receives Provincial Grant funding for Meadowood community Park for $54,500
Letters written about January Corcan Road closure and submitted to MOT and RDN.
RDN awards CMRA $1,500.00 Safety Grant.

Lobbying to reinstate school bus pick up and drop off at the meadowood store Parking lot and LQRV main gate started.

April 2012
Meeting with Minister of Transportation Blair Lekstrom.
Minister Lekstrom states the province has no money for an Interchange for our community because of the low volume of traffic it would serve.
CMRA says it will find 100% of funding.
Minister Lekstrom agrees to set up meeting with senior staff to study Corcan & Highway 19 proposal.

RDN and Community Planning starts on Meadowood Community Park, first meeting open to ALL April 28 at the Qualicum Civic center and 1st park user’s survey issued.

May 2012
Meeting with CMRA council and senior MOT staff in Nanaimo. MOT will do a low level cost analysis of Interchange project.
Bake sale, Bottle Drive and Information event Raises $ 1015 Dollars Majority going to fund the park

June 2012.
Second parks workshop at Light house community hall June 16th ALL Invited
Second Park survey sent out to public, results of first survey released.
Traffic count done by MOT on Corcan RD

July 2012
Planning for Halloween Bash underway.
RDN awards Grant to CMRA for $1,500 dollars for Halloween Bash.
RDN releases second park survey results.

August 2012
Meeting with MOT senior staff Nanaimo “NO Tolls for Highway 19 access” will look alternate methods for funding but will allow Phased Construction of interchange.

Dashwood / Meadowood Fire hall Merges with CMRA and LQRV volunteers to Produce Halloween Spectacular.

September 2012
Major planning all month for Halloween Bash
and CMRA Annual General Meeting.
Continue lobbying School Board for reinstatement of school bus drop off pick up.

October 2012
3rd annual AGM
Music, Pancake breakfast, silent auction and meeting at Lighthouse community hall.
Raising $3,500.00 dollars.
Cheque for $5,000 dollars presented to RDN for Meadowood community Park.
School Board agrees to reinstate bus service at Meadowood Store and LQRV main gate for elementery school students.

Halloween Bash at Meadowood community Park Sponsored by Dashwood Meadowood Firefighters LQRV volunteers and CMRA Volunteers a great success best scary walk and fireworks YET!!
Planning Underway for 2013 Halloween Spectacular!!!!

November 2012
Halloween wrap up meetings and report to rdn for grant filed.
Announcement of Meadowood store Horse and Carriage ride and Santa visit!

December
Santa arrives in Meadowood.
Horse and Carriage rides and Hot chocolate enjoyed by all.
